In shortest terms:

We conducted due diligence on a particular Real Estate Company offering to sell Farmlands in Abeokuta Ogun State 15 mins from the new Housing Estate (off Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway).

Our search at the Land Registry revealed that there is no issue at all with the land. HOWEVER, further due Diligence revealed that the Seller is a new company and the current CEO was in the top management of two Real Estate Companies that had failed to deliver properties to their clients in the past (McBuddy Properties and Gosgra properties).

For this particular case, we could not reach out to the complainants to verify the Scam complaints but one thing we could verify is that there were more than one complaint about both companies. The third (new) company that is now offering new Farmlands for sale may therefore be another attempt to reach out to people for their money under the same name. We may be wrong, but we told our client that it is better to be safe than sorry

Although as an individual, the new seller did not appear fraudulent, we still advised that the transaction should be avoided because we uncovered complaints about two companies he worked (in management position) in the past which failed to give investors their lands or money back.
